Dr. Clifton Hashimoto, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Clifton Hashimoto graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1997. After graduating vet school with full honors, Dr. Hashimoto went to work in Hawaii. Initially intending to stay for only a 1-2 years, his stay extended to 18 years. During that time, he worked at two very busy full-service 24-hour practices, caring for everything from puppy and kitten wellness exams, to cancer patients, to critical medical and trauma emergency and hospitalization cases as well exotics and non-traditional pet species. Dr. Hashimoto also served on the board of the Hawaii Veterinary Medical Association for 6 years – 2 years as its President. In 2015, Dr. Hashimoto moved to Vancouver to live in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with his wife and 5-year-old daughter. In addition to spending his spare time being a full-time father and husband, he loves to be outdoors reaping the bounty Washington has to offer – gardening, fruit picking, fishing, and clamming. He is also a fanatical rock climber.

The light of her life is Cocoa Jojo; a senior chi-weenie and Mable; a young, fireball of a kitten.

Violet, Veterinary Assistant

My name is Violet and I’m a veterinary assistant at WellHaven Pet Health soon to be LVT once I finish school. As a child, I found myself saving wildlife/strays in my hometown of New Jersey and have always had a fascination with animals and their behavior. I’ve spent many years working with horses and sporting dogs, which has only made that fascination flourish.

I share my home with my 3 dogs Izzy, Jack and Koda and my wonderful weasel (ferret) named Ferris Bueller. You can typically find all 5 of us (yes, the ferret too) exploring the mountains of the PNW! Preventative care is incredibly important to me and I firmly believe keeping up on routine care for your pets makes for a happy, healthy life!

Cynthia, Receptionist

Hi, I’m Cynthia and I’m a receptionist at the Downtown Vancouver WellHaven. Coming to the doctor can be stressful to our pets and our families. My goal at WellHaven is to build a trusting relationship with each of our pet families. I hope to alleviate that stress by welcoming you into our Fear Free hospital with warmth and understanding. I first stepped into the field of vet care by answering a job ad in 1996. It read, “Do you love pets?” I said “Yes!” and the rest is history.

On my off time, I enjoy writing, listening to music and running. My Redbone -Treeing Walker Coonhound adopted me many years ago. He’s now 11 years old and is my bestest friend in the world. Thank you for getting to know me! Feel free to stop by our WellHaven to say hi. I look forward to getting to know all about your best friend!

Ryan, Practice Manager

Ryan spends most of his time managing the practice and our wonderful team making sure everything is running smoothly. Ryan has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years and has been an LVT/CVT since 2007. He made the journey from Phoenix, AZ to the Vancouver, WA area in 2014 and brought a multitude of experience with him. He is skilled in many different areas of veterinary medicine to include exotic and wild animal care, emergency/critical care, and specialty medicine. Ryan’s passion has always been helping animals and people in any way he can.

When he’s not in the hospital he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and 2 children. He also enjoys horticulture, rock hounding, and food culture.
